I'm new here and to owning my own chickens! I have been looking over laws and regulations and all kinds of stuff for days and days! I have been thoroughly confused as to whether or not raising chicks and selling any of the hatched chicks / or grown chickens is allowed in NJ? I saw a few posts that it may be illegal to sell or give away chicks less than 2 months in NJ but I had a hard time tracking down any info on that. So confused! So many laws and rules about everything! Sometimes seems overkill with all the rules as to what you are allowed to do and can't do with your own backyard. Anyone know the legality of selling your own hatched chicks?? Thanks so much!!
