Hi all...
I'm getting ready to introduce a dozen new birds (BOs and RIRs) into our existing flock of older Araucana hens. I'd like to avoid having two different feeds and the inevitable hassle of keeping one group from the other's feed. I've read that layer feed can cause liver damage in young birds. Is 17 weeks too early to make this switch? It's important that I move the chicks out of their structure and into the main coop in the next week or so.
Thanks for any advice.
