I was at our local feed store to buy our ducks some layer feed and asked if they had some waterfowl starter for my soon to be ducklings when they hatch next week. Of course they didn't so I asked for some unmedicated chick starter. They told me its a waste of money I can just feed them the layer feed. I thought that had too much calcium for them. Am I wrong? Can I give my little fluff balls layer feed?
