I have moved my 8 week old chicks into the main coop. They have been on medicated feed and now I am about to switch them.
I wanted them to be on chick starter for awhile but there is no way to seperate them from the rest of the flock.
Would it be better for everyone to eat chick starter (non medicated) or everyone to eat layer feed?

My hens are coming out of broodiness and I only have one rooster.
Thanks!

Switch everyone over to Flock Raiser and put a container out for free choice oyster shell for your layers. This is the easiest way to feed everyone, regardless of age.

Agreed - you don't want your chicks on layer until they lay - the calcium will build up in their legs & cause them issues.
