I have a mix of Buff Orpingtons and Gold Laced Wyandottes; 11 girls total.
So my chickens are only laying 2-4 eggs a day on average.... which is fine, they need a break. It’s 5* out right now!!!
My question is, do I continue with layer feed, or do I switch to non-layer feed? They have OSC on the side. But will the layer feed hurt?
Thanks!!!

Layer feed should be fine. You switch to an all flock or a feather fixer if they are molting. I feed my flock a lot more scratch this time of the year so that they have the carbs they need to keep themselves warm.

Thank you!!!
Each cold morning, I’ve been giving them boiled oats mixed with feed and sprinkled with blueberries...
