Layer feed

My pullets are 13 weeks old, can I feed them layer feed? we are running out of starter, and can roosters eat layer feed?

Yes and yes! At least thats what I did.

I would only feed the layer on a temporary basis and put them back on the starter or buy grower/finisher (when you can get it again) to feed them until they were actually laying.

There are mixed opinions on feeding roosters layer pellets, but I've done it without any negative side-effects. Short of separating your rooster from your flock, I don't see how you could keep him from eating whatever you give your layers.
