WOW , you paying expensive for your feed . We pay the following :

Laying pellets 50 lbs. $11.50
Scratch 50 lbs. 10.50
grower 50 lbs. 9.99

pine shavings 5.25 large compressed bag

We are feeding straight laying purina pellets which a 50 lb. bag last a week for 49 head .

Our purina pellets have always smelled very fresh or we would of returned them to the feedstore .

We are also feeding treat daily .

Our youngest of the flock are 19 weeks old . and oldest is 1 years old .

Wow Liz, the prices down your way seem much better!

I pay $0.50 more per bag of shavings, not too much more,

All but $14.00 for the Purina start & grow crumbles 50lbs.

I need to price the Layena pellets. The mill where I got the mash is a Purina mill/ dealer, I'm hoping when I go down on Sat. they have their own layer pellets since they don't do the crumbles. I haven't priced the scratch either, I'm waiting till the cooler weather starts in. I give most treats in the evening though if they beg enough they get a small handful of sunflower seeds when I change the water in the AM.
