I have 7 pullets. One just started laying two days ago. Should I go ahead and switch them all to Layer or should I wait until more are laying?

I will be out of grower by this weekend. I think I will just go ahead and move to layer after that. I switched from granite to shells for grit about two weeks ago. I was just worried because I have seen so many post that the excess calcium can be bad for non laying chickens.

How long does it take for excess calcium to cause a problem?

Grit is granite, sand, pebbles and such they use the grind their food, having no teeth.

Shells are not grit, but provide laying hens added calcium. Excess calcium is feeding layer from week 5 through week 19. After week 16, and some begin to lay, there is no worry.
