Ok; our hens stopped laying in Dec and started laying again in Feb. I've noticed that when we boil the eggs they peel nicely but the white of the egg is layered. I mean you can see the layers and rub your finger over it and it just peeled off. I've never had this issue before. What could be the cause? Are they ok? The yolk looks normal and the shell isn't thinned out. All chickens are healthy and eat a balanced diet (free range too). Any ideas? I just thought this was weird!!!!
We did start adding light in Jan due to the cold and rain we continued to have because the wind made it tons worse and we lost 2 chickens. THanks in advance!!!!

Anyone??? Please advise me :) thank you

Mine do that too. I just chalked it up to their freshness, the white hasn't sat around and gelled...

Thanks :) We all ate them and are fine LOL so I guess its ok!
