Well, its finally spring after what was a pretty nasty winter by SoCal standards. My 3 layers stopped laying about 3 weeks ago during the last set of rains and cold weather, and haven't started back up since. Odd thing is I get great production out of 3 silkies during this whole winter, but the 3 layers have been crappy layers all winter long. Right now I am not using a night light, though I did until 2 weeks ago. How can I get them going again? All they eat is layer pellets and scratch, and occasional greens from the garden. Their coop is heated all night with a infrared lamp, they are spoiled. The earthbound silkies live in a doghouse. Whats going on????
