Layers pellets.

thanks @Ahnkara0 - glad you've found it useful. Yes I'm in the UK; in the Gower peninsula, S Wales.

There is a good mill quite near to you, Castle Horse Feeds in Hay on Wye. They make the 80% wheat / 20% cut maize feed I started with; I don't know if they stock organic. Best to call in, phone or email them; their website is focussed on equine stuff. And if you like books, you can easily spend the whole day in the town! :D

Hahaha, yes Hay on wye. Spent some days there. I will look up the mill thanks.xx
Another thought Perris. I use blood fish and bone on my plants sometimes. I wonder about it as a supplement to my groats /oats( not goats ! ) when not giving layers pellets. Its just what they need or seems to be. I did read somewhere that it might contain pathogens and viruses but if its commercial then its sterilized in the process. Do you have any info from your research ? Thanks Perris

Currently it is illegal to feed it to poultry here Ahnkara0, along with any other meat by-product. Although the legislation is under review, I'd be surprised if it were allowed again, as it is very difficult to know what's really gone into it, and while that's OK for plants, it's not OK for animals in the food chain.
