Hello! I've just changed my feed for my two bantams and a Maran from corn to layers pellets (corn being what they were fed before I got them) and Have been told that the pellets will help improve laying (which is very poor at the moment) just wondered how long it will take before I start seeing some eggs? and also what else I can do to improve laying. They're free range and have access to grubs, grit and all sorts of things to scrat in. Thanks!

It may take a while as corn is such an incomplete diet, so of course it partly depends on what other nutrients they were getting from foraging, scraps, etc. I would consider some vitamins and a protein supplement for a while, including some animal sourced proteins. A course of probiotics would no doubt be a good idea as well.
