My peahen hatched two eggs last year and did just fine. She has laid three eggs this year with the last one laid 11 days ago but she is not interested in sitting. Should I give her more time or put those eggs in the incubator?

After more than a week or so the chances of the eggs hatching goes way down. I don't have experience with peahens specifically though. If they were chickens or ducks I would definitely put them in the incubator and not wait.

If you want her to set mark the eggs with the date and pull any of the eggs that are seven days old and incubate them yourself. She will keep laying until she thinks she has enough eggs to set, but looking at the clutch every day will encourage her to go broody. Young hens are more fickle than seasoned hens.

This is a great tip!
