Laying and manure

Two questions , I have 6 hens and I am only averaging one and a half eggs aday. I get 14 hours of day light a day and I feed the hens only lay pellets. What can I do to increase production ?

How long do you have to let manure set before you can use it without it burning the plants?

not sure about the chickens... but one year on the manure alone. If you compost it, maybe sooner.
