how do you train your chickens to lay in their laying boxes?

I bought ceramic eggs from Murrary Mcmurray hatching. I think they were around $20 with shipping. I placed one egg in each of my nest boxes. Then I took a couple of them and put them on a 3" edge that I have just outside my boxes. They saw the eggs and got the hint. Took a week or two before all of my hens ended up in the boxes. I have 13 hens and 5 boxes but they seem to have their favorite 1 or 2 boxes they all lay in. Good luck hope this helps some.
