Laying Box

I am in the process of buying some point of lay hens. My partner is making me a coop, but he has made the laying box with quite a big slope backwards on it. He says it will be ok, I think it is sloping too much but he won't listen..... What are your thoughts on this please.

I'm new to owning chickens, so I can't answer you're question. But, I think a photo may be helpful.

Picture would help! Basically, the slope is to keep them from standing or roosting on top of the nest box. You might get some ideas from the coop design threads.

I will take a photo of it and put it on asap. The slope is on the bottom as well as on the top, I think it should be level on the bottom....
