She is laying her eggs under the nest box and its close to the hatch to the run. What to do?
They only use three of the 8 nest boxes. Three to four eggs in them boxes and none in the others.
I have 1 roo and 10 hens (golden comets)

try to put golf balls or fake eggs in the other box

When my chickens do things in places that I don't want them to do it, I try to block access to that area where they are trying to do the bad deed. Maybe you could store a big empty box on the floor under that nest box so she can not choose that spot which for some reason she may think is a safe spot?

thats why I have all my nest boxes side by side on the floor of coop . I put 2 golfballs in each nesting box . I also use HAY in the nest box and floor of coop is pine shavings . Nothing over , and nothing underneath . Roosting area is across the coop from nesting area .
