I have a flock of young hens that are at least 6mths old & I was told around this age I should expect the ladies to start laying. Well, I still haven't had them lay not one egg. Their Longhorns. What should I do? Thanks for any helpful advice. 🥰❤️🐤🐔 Leghorns!!

I give them Chicken Scratch, laying pellets, and veggies left over from the house.
Cut out the scratch and cut back on the veggies, if the protein on the laying pellets is less than 17%, see if your feed store carries a high protein layer.

Ok, I'll try this, my laying pellets are 17% also what about oyster shells, should I be giving the ladies that or not?
