laying eggs in the dusting box

We have 2 Cochins, that recently started laying. One of the hens uses a nesting box and the other the dusting bath box. We have fake eggs in both boxes. Is there a way to help Polly use the nesting box?

Put up a little sign that says, "LAY HERE ==>"

She'll get it eventually. Mine go through phases, sometimes they are just too lazy to hop up into the boxes.

Is the dusting box covered? Mine isn't (and the nest boxes are), and so far no one is laying in there. Just a thought.

The obvious first step would be to remove the fake egg from the dusting box. ??
