I have 4 chickens and they have been laying for about a year now. About a month ago, we found an egg in our backyard behind some bushes. Today, I went out to gather eggs and decided to check behind the same bush just to see. Sure enough there were three more eggs in the same spot. We let out chickens out in the yard about 2-3 times per week. Is there anyway to break this habit? I definitely would like all the eggs layed in the nesting boxes.

    Thanks!

Sounds like they are breaking the habit of the nest boxes. Time to retrain them. Fake eggs in boxes, lock them up until they have laid.
