Laying eggs

hello @DubG3428 ! welcome to BYC :frow
the answer to your question is it is variable, between about 16 weeks at least and a year at most. It depends on the breed, the conditions, the diet, and the individual bird's speed of development. What have you got?

How long does it take for a chicken to lay it’s first egg
It depends on the breed. My Kurdish pullets started laying when they were only 4 months old, and went broody when they were five. Now, one of them is mama of 5 chicks and she is only 6 months old.
