Today one of our neighbors told us that chickens will keep laying eggs throughout the winter if you keep there feet warm. Is this true?

I've heard that they will lay through the winter if you make sure they have light for 14 hours a day by lighting their coop at night. I have heard nothing about feet- I'm guessing that part is a wive's tale.

I guess if their feet are warm, the rest of them will be as well - make for some happy chickens for sure!
