I have Bantams, and one hen decided to lay on eggs hidden in the hosta plants in the yard, they are about to hatch and i built her a small coop( 2' x2') and a small run to keep the chicks safe during the night.. question is, if picked her up and moved the eggs and her inside this new coop will she continue to lay on them until they hatch?

I’ve heard that if you do it at night , it could work . How does she react when you approach her? Can you get close ?

Maybe search “ moving hen on eggs” in the magnifying glass above , see what you learn

Good luck

when i picked her up to see how many eggs she was really defensive but i can pick her up.. i was just afraid she would no lay on them if i moved her and the eggs..
