Your lighter hen looks more like a Crested Cream Legbar cross with that poof on her head and her light earlobes. Legbars lay blue eggs, so crossed with a brown layer, you would get green.

That's true in the US but Araucanas in other countries have crests.Your lighter hen looks more like a Crested Cream Legbar cross with that poof on her head and her light earlobes. Legbars lay blue eggs, so crossed with a brown layer, you would get green.
I do live here in the USThat's true in the US but Araucanas in other countries have crests.
Thanks!!I figured Charlie was an Arucana or Amerucana cross, but I’m not too sure about Mama being a buttercup, her comb isn’t a cup…so she could be but withbout the signature comb?
Me too. We live in the Great North West. Redwood forests. Our deciduous trees are just beginning to get leaves. Lots of rain.I do live here in the US
Wonderful. Thank you.The dark one is a buttercup cross, light one is an araucana cross if you aren't in the US. If you are in the US, light one got the crest from a cream Legbar.
Without photos, it is difficult to say what you have but it probably isn't the same as what the OP has. Her buff-orange hen is the one laying the green eggs, not the dark one.Hi. I have a black gen with the same red upright comb and orange- red feathers on her neck just like this one . She lays greenish blue eggs. One about every three days. She is the dominant hen in my little flock of 4 total. She's not a talker though. She has black or grey colored legs. I dont know what she is. But she looks like yours in this picture with the RIR. In the sunshine, her black body feathers look blue.
Thanks. Maybe the one I think is a young RIR .. is actually a Buff Orp. Maybe she's been laying the blue green egg. I did find her sitting on one a few days ago. I thought she was just sitting on someone ele's egg.Without photos, it is difficult to say what you have but it probably isn't the same as what the OP has.
