Laying hen

I bought a cinnamon queen off craigslist, and have had her for 2 days. She originally layed 1 egg everyday but now she isn't laying any. That is in 2 days. Any ideas about why she's not laying?

Hens are very stressed by moving. She will resume laying when she feels safe in her new home. The eggs you got at first where ones already in the "chute" before the move. So it will take awhile before she starts putting out more. Welcome to Backyard chickens.

X2 Moving a hen will upset her laying cycle. Hens need to feel secure and comfortable to lay. Moving is scary for a hen and it may take several weeks before she does lay again. Make sure to keep the stress down around the coop. Sit quietly with her and reassure her all is well. Keep fake eggs in the nest boxes so she feels comfortable laying in them and knows where to lay them. Free rangers can lay them out in the field.

And make sure she is healthy. Sometimes when you buy birds from places like craigslists, owners are selling off a bird that can have problems. So you might get her wormed, check for mites and get those cleared off of her and keep her on a good diet.
