My laying hens managed to get into some left over medicated chick starter yesterday, are there eggs still edible, or should I just throw them away, and if so how long before we can eat eggs again?

They will be OK since its not a such a big dose. I feed mine once in a great while to feed both young chicks and laying...no difference in eggs or any side effects.

I hope it isn't bad because I mix it into the chickens food so the chicks can grow properly.

It won't hurt if the hen "got into some". On a brown egg layer, you will notice the shells on the next couple eggs will be whiter. The eggs are still edible..at least I have eaten some with no ill effects.

I don't think it's a good idea to feed hens medicated chick starter on a regular basis. A better option if you have to house them together is to use nonmedicated chick starter and provide oyster shell for the hens for egg laying.
