Laying or hot

My hens have started laying on the ground today. Some in "broody" position some on their sides. It's the beginning of a heat wave. Are they just got or are some getting ready to lay? They're about 17/18 werks

One of my hens stopped laying what could be wrong? She seems to be OK She is eating and drinking likes me to pet her. I gave her some plain yogurt and I make sure they had oyster shell. What could it be what do I look for ??

Probably just nestling down into the cool dirt.
