hello every 1 i was wonder ama start feeding my game hens laying pellets and what happens if d rooster eats them?

My hens tend to like mash better but I guess it's just certain chickens ,there crazy

It is my understanding that the roos can have a problem with getting too much calcium from the layer pellets. Not a problem for the girls as they need the extra but the boys have no way to expell the excess. I alternate between bags of layer pellets and flight developer. Don't know how much difference it will make in the birds but I do notice if I completly go off the layer pellets some of my girls have shell issues. This balance works for me.
