I went out to throw some scraps out to the flock when I noticed our Black Australorp pullet standing by herself near the fence in their yard. As I got closer, I noticed that some of her feathers were ripped out. I checked her over but there weren't any injuries.
She's not responding to anything I'm doing so I assume that she's in shock from whatever happened. I suspect that one of our other hens did this to her as as she's at the bottom of the pecking order and I've seen them all fighting lately.

What do I do for her?? I want to make sure she's okay because she's our first and only Black Australorp so I want to save her.

Is she still in shock? You can try giving her some electrolyte /vitamin water to help perk her up. I have heard of people using nutridrench or Gatorade

She's already doing better. I had posted on facebook the same day and got quick responses there. I'm really happy that people actually responded so quicker there than here.
I kept checking here for responses but forgot about this post when I got replies on facebook.
