laying question any help greatly appreciated

my new chickens that are about 30 wks old or so started laying there first eggs, and things were going great til they all 6 abruptly stopped. and havent been laying for about 4 wks. ive been told its because theyre molting. from what i can tell yes they are molting but how long does it last? when will they start laying again? anything i can do to promote them to start laying again?
