They are 18 weeks old . we are having about 11 to 12 hours of light for now. We did put a light in the coop this morning to give them at least 13 hours .At what should I expect my cinnamon lady to start laying eggs
Oh! so I should change my timer for 1 hour moreUsually 16-20 weeks but if maturing late because of late spring or summer hatch date can take longer because it falls late into the season and may have to wait till next spring. Right now daylight hours are dwindling for most and under the 14 hour per day requirement for laying.

Thanks to answer my question . I appreciate!Welcome to BYC! What age is she? Maybe between 18 and 24 weeks....depending on the length of day where you live. Shorter days may delay laying.
Thanks for the link! We quickly learn that the light was to strong! The light nearly start a fire !I am not experienced with supplementing light...there are good threads on the subject, here is one that talks about it:
