Laying

Hi my girls are not laying anymore I just get 3 eggs a day and I use to get 4 dozen a week can some one help me?

Laying usually slows down in the fall when the days get shorter and your hens start molting. My hens are molting... feathers all over the place. I'm only getting a few eggs a day out of my 12 right now.

How old are your birds, in months?

18 months old and I live in Atlanta, Georgia

Are they molting?
If not, is a predator visiting your coop border? My hens will stop laying when the predators are too close to the coop.

Prime time to stop laying and have their first adult molt.

They where but not anymore. Also No predators also.

They may not be totally done molting, and still may not lay again until the days get longer after Solstice.
