Hi,
My first time here. Having problems, I have 18 hens and 2 roosters, no eggs in 3-weeks. Looking for help.

Do they free range? Maybe they are laying somewhere in your yard, like some tall grass...I had 2 hens do that this summer and realized they went broody...Maybe you have an egg eater in your flock, see any traces of a mess made by broken eggs? 3 weeks is a long time it seems, are they old enough, like, they had been laying, and now they dont?

from Indiana. Are they molting? been really hot where you live?? 3 wks seem like a long time. How old are they

They are coop chickens. They were laying great until 3 weeks ago. No signs of shells, snakes.... Some are molting, its been very hot here. They have plenty of food and fresh water daily... This is there second year, was hopeing to make a brood hen this year, but no eggs.

What kind of chickens are they? I had some red stars that quit laying when they were about 2 years old, they had gone through a molt, and never came back as good as they were as far as laying...The heat can have something to do with it too...or the molt, they quit laying or slow way down when they go through that too...

well, if its the molting process, which it sounds like it may be that, they should be coming out of it pretty soon I would think...Will keep my fingers crossed for ya...maybe other posters will have some other ideas too! good luck!
