Laying

I have a year old Americana hen who hasn't laid yet

. She is my only Easter Egger, so I'll know when she lays. I've looked all over, no eggs.

Does she have a pea comb? If not, she may be laying brown eggs and you just don't know they're hers.

Saying you've looked all around make me think she's free ranged? Have you tried cooping her for a few days? They can hide eggs in the most unbelievable places.

She is not free ranged, and actually doesn't have more than a millimeter of comb, it looks like a single comb, but could be a pea/rose comb, I can't tell.

That may be true, I have a little unused loft that has a broken ladder, she could be hiding them up there, but I can't get up there to look.
