laying

i have some barred rock chickens 6 or 7 years old, are they to old to lay anymore? how long does a chicken live?

They may lay a few eggs, but by that age, they won't be very good layers. Unless killed or eaten, chickens can live for over 15 years. However, many will die sooner, of such problems as predator attacks and disease.
