Ha well tell her the zombie hen was a salmon faverolle. I'm a firm believer a little love goes a long way with creatures. As soon as I sat down in the pen still upset all 15 of my hens and my brahma rooster came over too check me out. I swear chickens are very sympathetic. I had one when I was younger that whenever I was upset she would come perch in my lap like a lapdog, and sit and cluck/purr. I normally don't get attached too many things, and my chickens are just really neat. My husband actually walks out with me too feed them and cracked up one day when they were all fighting for which one would sit in my lap. He called me the "chicken whisperer". For curiosities sake I had researched just how intelligent they are, and you would be suprised. That is what made it all the harder when this happened. I can't even look at our Boston now without being angry. People keep saying it's a dogs natural instict, but our Basset did not participate in the killing frenzy and I have had dogs before that would guard and lay with the chickens. I really have no idea what too do with her now.
