Hey guys, I have a concern for one of my baby isa browns their at the scruffy age and only 3 weeks until they are out from the warm light. Okay I have 1 chick who lays around a lot kinda on her side, she seems abit slow when they go play outside while sunny she just lays there while the other girls forage and behave normally, she is the one making the most noise however, her poos are fine and she drinks well but she has one wing down while she is laying down she steps on her own toes. But all she does is lay down and chirps while the other girls walk around forage, scratch or roost. They are due for their last VIT and MIN boost but I’m concerned she seems abit on the special side. Help?

I'm confused about the age of the chick. Three weeks old?

If so, she may be constipated. If they've been eating things other than feed, and if they don't have access to grit, then she may have an impaction. Try giving her a teaspoon of coconut oil broken into tiny pieces, chilled and then fed into her beak one by one until you have all the oil in her.

Oh they have 3 weeks left under the heat lamp, she’s pooping fine they all are.

She sounds like a handicapped chick.

I have a runt cockerel with a bad eye. He's the only chick that still chirps like a chick. But he's able to eat on his own now move about with his siblings. He's almost 8 weeks old.

I would really like to know the age of the chick. Your plan on the heat source tells me nothing about age. Some people remove the heat at three weeks during the day, and others keep chicks under heat until they start to lay. A little exaggeration, but not too far off.

My other two are close to fully feathers but (hayhay) the chick in question has just started her proper brown adult feathers
