Lazy lady?

I have 10 red sexlink hens but have never gotten 10 eggs. Do I have a lazy lady? How do I tell which one it is? New at this whole chicken business.

They all might be laying---just not a egg each day?? Me---checking is simple---I only got 18 hens and over 60 chicken pens---LOL.(had over 1200 at one time). As the days are getting longer now you will see lots of 10 egg days soon.

As PD says, they don't always lay an egg every day, so yours could all well be laying. I have 16 hens and have yet to get 16 eggs in a day. Some of mine are going into their 3rd year of laying, though, so I don't expect an egg a day from them.

OK thanks for the info half of them are 2years old the other half are 1 1/2 years old according to the previous owner

Yeah, you're not likely to regularly get an egg a day from them, then.
