Lazy or just sick?

I'm not sure if my chicken is sick or just lazy. She just lays around all the time. She is also losing a lot of feathers she/and the other nine chickens are pecking/pulling them out? Is she sick or just lazy?

Sounds hen pecked? Ill, has some sort of virus?

How old is your bird? If she's from spring 15, chances are she's molting.

Chickens aren't lazy, if they are acting different, there's a reason. Molting can cause a hen to feel poorly.

but, if you're seeing the other birds actually picking feathers from her, that's not molting. Have you seen that, or just assumed that's what is going on?
