lazy teens?

So I just got some started pairs from foley.
I put them in an A frame style coop.. i put feed and water close by, and they just sit in the perches.. I have to shoo them off and stand there just to get them to eat or drink... So everytime I go over there, they are panting... Anyway to solve this? Idk if they are just lazy and want to rest or think its cooler there...

They're simply adjusting to their new environment. They feel safer when perched as high as they can get. Tomorrow will be better.

Ive had them for 2 days.. id assume they would if adjusted by now.

put sugar in their water and remove the perches temporarily (if you can)
