Le Poulet Noir Thread

Hi all! I am new here on BYC but have been a fan for a while.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to breed Le Poulet Noir chickens?
I heard they are great meat birds and are very hardy.
Any opinions would be welcome!

What type of chickens are they and what do they look like ??, got any pic's ??. Sounds interesting even though they are french LOL.

Hi again. My original question was kind of vague.
The Le Poulet Noir breed is a black feathered, white skinned, black legged, black shanked meat bird.
My friend has a couple of hens but the rooster died and the hatchery she got them from (JM Hatchery) stopped selling them. (They were imported from France!)
Now we are looking for a way to bring them back. I have tried to research the Le Poulet Noir online but there is zero info out there.
If anyone knows anything about them or knows anyone who has them, please reply!
