Will access to lead paint chips harm hens/ eggs? We just scraped and painted our c.1812 home.

from WI. I would assume that lead is toxic to chickens as well as humans....I don't know how much lead and if the effects are similar to human lead poisoning. You may want to post this question in the section for Emergencies, Deseases etc or in Managing your flock...I would try to clean up any chips and debris as thoroughly as possible as other animals, wildlife and people may become exposed.....> Sorry, no good answer today...
