Well first off welcome! You'll love this place. Your choice of birds is a good one. make sure your housing is secure for your birds. If you choose you can place you coop right in the garden until spring then pull it out and prepare to garden, it's really best to be able to move your coop maybe weekly or bi-weekly depending on the number of birds. Here on the homestead we do all our butchering and gardening, making soap, cheese, smoke our meats and more. Your welcome to visit the site. We are for the most part self-sufficient. We're not off grid yet but working on it. I love this life style.
