Learning about keeping chickens

Hi All

I'm Nick, and I've developed a mobile app for pet bird lovers. Recently, I had some users ask why chickens weren't included as supported species in the app, so I added a few breeds and now would like to learn more about the specifics of keeping chickens as pets, how it differs from keeping other species like parrots, and in what ways could I improve my app to better cater for chicken keepers.

I look forward to learning a lot and making the app useful to pet chicken keepers.
