Learning all I can about call ducks !

so this is the area where my new duck house and run will be. Taking this lean to down as it's falling apart anyway. The big building will come down eventually too it's falling in. So we won't build it up against the building but the plan is for the front of the run will start just behind where the flowers are where I can see it from my deck and kitchen window.
Hubby found some brand new double pane Windows buried in the back while cleaning it out today! Will probably be able to use some of them for the duck house! We cleaned out the big building when we bought the property behind us but never dug to the back of the lean to.

so we got the lean to down and here is a shot of the area we are gonna build in. The plan is to have a door in the side of the run facing the pond so that later on we can fence off the pond area and run them straight over to it from their enclosure. But for now we will focus on the house and run so they can have a safe space to live.

here's what I have come up with for now so I can let them out more without having to just be right there every minute. It's shaded here all day under trees and close to the house so I can keep an eye on them.
Don't usually ever have hawks or anything come down between the fence and the house so I feel like they are pretty safe during the day. I put my dogs in the yard They guard against stray cats or anything like that.
So far the girls are getting along but the drake s are in jail cause Memphis is being a bit too aggressive. So. . they have their exercise time in shifts lol.
