Learning chicken math

So if I understand this correctly....The fact that I have 35 eggs in the incubator 2 of which I don't believe will hatch (not sure about the other 32) then it would NOT be wrong of me to purchase "just a few" bantam chicks (cause they're just so darn CUTE) ? And then they wouldn't count since they are not only babies but also bantams? and the 5-6 chicken limit that my DH said we have (who does he think he is anyway?) would still not even be close to being filled?? I never was good at math so I'm hoping I have this right...

I always say to my DH..what's three more little chicks..and then again and again....I love chicken math.

Darn straight!

Chickens can't count, so neither should chicken addicts. I'm close to finishing an engineering degree, but get me near a chicken and basic physical laws (to include mathematics) no longer apply.

If he tries to challenge you, ask him "how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?" and walk away. Better yet, if he wants to count chickens, don chicken-themed lingerie. Is there any in the auction section?

Incubators are like pennies and coat hangers. They just breed in the dark......

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

My kids are wondering why I'm laughing my head off! I'm horrible at math and just hate it! Now chicken math I can REALLY get into. I wonder if the homeowner's association will go for it since we're not allowed any at all? Technically I would only have one chicken 'cause she lays eggs. I have two more -- one of which is a fluffy little bantam. Her and her nest mate were just born in November and aren't laying yet. So hmmmmm ... so far so good! (Next time Sylvester molts I"m gonna have to run down and get a few more!)

Thanks for the laugh! I haven't laughed that hard in much too long

it's a disease - and the cure sadly is MORE CHICKENS!! I got 8 in the bator...three on their way and tomorrow Orschelin's is getting more chicks so that's where I'm headed..I can't stop.
