New here, and pretty new to chickens. I live in Florida. I used to have 3 RIR, which I got when I was sixteen. They were awesome, personable little girls, and wonderful layers. They each produced 2 eggs a day like clockwork, but unfortunately I couldn't keep them when I moved out.
Fast forward another sixteen years, and I decided to start a new flock. Back in March, I started aquiring my hens. My flock now consists of ten Red Stars, six Australorps, two Rhode Island Reds, two Barred Rocks, and one Maran. Several of the girls were rescued from bad situations.
