Central NY
Hi there from chilly Central NY. Started out in March with 6 'pullet' chicks. 2 disappeared early on - we guess a hawk, and my favorite one turned out to be a rooster who had to be re-homed because of local noise restrictions. Down to 3 now - a Welsummer, a BO, and a RIR. RIR is not laying yet, but the others started on the same day a week ago! Since March, we've added a dozen ducks - 10 destined for the freezer soon, the other 2 are Khaki Campbells who will hopefully keep our pond clean. Just starting to think about how to winter these guys over. Loving reading the info that is shared on the forums!
