Can I clip wings on pheasants? How young? We clip our Muscovy ducks and some of our chickens. They (the pheasant chicks) are 3 weeks old now and very flighty. I would like to be able to catch them if they happen to escape.

Maybe you should secure your pen better.I would rather have a bird with wings so it can escape from predators if it gets lose.You can clip their flight feathers,but they will grow back.Seems they are chicks they don't have their flight feathers yet.I wouldn't think of pinioning a pheasant,it's just out of the question.
