Learning the Hard Way 😢: A warning about Brinsea when adjusting settings during incubation

I'm very thankful there is some hope. And thanks for your support during this - it's challenging feeling responsible for a potentially failed hatch.

According to Brinsea, this shouldn't happen from just being in the menu, but that was the only difference from anything I have done before. I work from home so I know that there wasn't a power outage and that the unit sounded like it was working well all day. And I have it on a super short cooling cycle, so it never quite bottoms out at room temperature, particularly for the eggs (they are always warm to the touch near the end of a 60 minute cooling cycle as they retain heat so well).
What was the outcome did they hatch successfully ?

I had to assist hatch a guinea fowl keet yesterday. I know what you mean with the dilemma of lifting the lid to refill the reservoir. I have another chick in the same position as the last one and I have to be at work today so it is up to nature I guess. The other keet that hatched last night is under the broader Aline today probably sleeping it alk off 😴🐣
